TOP 20 most visited websites in Latvia - August 2022 #gemiusAudience

In August 2022, the news portal showed the largest numerical increase in total audience from all devices and reached the largest audience this year. Meanwhile, website showed the biggest increase in visitors from computers and – the biggest decrease. Which websites were the most popular in Latvia in the last month of summer? 



Total statistics

In August 2022, portal reached the second position at the top of the total statistics, also reaching its largest audience from all devices this year - 799,000 Real Users, which is 75,000 more than in July 2022. This is the largest numerical increase among the top sites compared to July statistics. 

Changing places, website takes third place with 770,000 Real Users and an audience increase of 12,000 users. The top 20 is revealed by portal with 852,000 users, with an audience decrease of 18,000 readers compared to July. As before, the portal is fourth with 685,000 Real Users (by 29,000 less than the previous month), but after moving up by two positions, closes the Top 5 with 628,000 Real Users - 18,000 more users than in July.

In addition to those already mentioned, the portal showed a significant increase in audience reaching 42,000 more users than the previous month. The audience of two websites - and the legislative explanation website - has grown by 31,000 users, reaching accordingly 523,000 and 266,000 users from all devices. Meanwhile, portal showed the largest decrease in the audience - by 61,000 Real Users - last month, reaching 598,000 readers from all devices and losing two positions at the top. It should be noted that in August the top is closed by the website, which is back among the top websites with 145,000 Real Users from all devices – computers, smartphones, and tablets – together.

Visits from computers

In the final month of summer - August - most of the top websites have shown an increase in the audience from computers. The largest of them is SEB bank's website, which was visited by 24,000 more users in August than in the previous month (264,000 Real Users). On the other hand, showed the largest numerical drop in the audience - by 23,000 Real Users, maintaining the fifth position in the top.

As before, the top is revealed by Google with 1,012,000 Real Users (7,000 users more than in July), followed by the video streaming site with 711,000 Real Users and an audience increase of 11,000 users. The top three is closed by Facebook, visited by 610,000 users from computers (by 4,000 less than in July). As in July, domestic site ranks fourth with 559,000 Real Users from computers, which is 12,000 more than the previous month. In August portal returned to the top with 218,000 Real Users from computers.

Visits from mobile devices

Despite the slight drop in the audience by 7,000 users, the public media news portal returned to the top five in August, reaching 577,000 readers from smartphones and tablets. Meanwhile, has climbed to the fourth position with 605,000 Real Users, which is 17,000 more than in July.

As in the top of the total statistics, portal showed the largest numerical increase in the audience among the top websites, reaching by 74,000 more users than in July, and remained second in the top. Meanwhile, takes first place with 839,000 Real Users (by 20,000 users less than the previous month),while maintains in the third position, as in July, with 659,000 readers, which is 27,000 less than before.

In August, the portal also showed a numerically significant increase in the audience – by 44,000 more readers (554,000 Real Users), at the same time climbing up the top by two positions to seventh place. Meanwhile showed the numerically largest decrease in the audience – by 63,000 readers less from mobile devices (572,000 Real Users), losing two positions in the top and taking the sixth position in August. The audience of decreased by 38,000 users (103,000 Real Users), while the news website reaching 493,000 readers from mobile devices in August, also showed a similar drop - by 37,000 Real Users.

Media Groups data

Among the media groups in August, TVNET group reached the most users with the websites (including, and, as well as statistics for, and applications in total used by 902,000 or 60% of Latvian Internet users, which is 49,000 more than in July. Meanwhile, DELFI group reached 882,000 Real Users and 59% with the websites, incl.,,,, website, Delfi TV, as well as the mobile application (by 23,000 less than the previous month).

Rīgas Vilņi media group ranks third among the groups with the websites, including, or,,, as well as data on streaming, reaching 686,000 Real Users and 46% of Internet users last month. TV3 media group, which covers data on, video and streaming, as well as the application, reached 45% or 678,000 Latvian internet users last month, showing a drop in audience by 10,000 users, but Top5 is closed by group with the websites, and reaching 600,000 and 40% of Internet users in August - 59,000 Real Users less than in July.
