Belarus: the websites most visited by women
Belarusbank.by, Yandex.by and Kufar.by are the websites most visited by women in Belarus, according to the results of analyses based on data from May 2014 and May 2015. Which other website stand out in terms of the growth dynamics of women's participation? Check out the ranking prepared by Gemius.
The website of the largest commercial bank in Belarus – Belarusbank – has seen the highest rate of growth in popularity among Belarusian women. The Belarusian home page of Russian search engine Yandex took second place.
In third place was the Kufar.by. The service displays local ads, mainly for the sale of used items. Interestingly, women represent the vast majority of users on Kufar.by – around 80 per cent.
The comparison shows that, just as in Ukraine, Belarusian internet is dominated (in terms of increased popularity) by local language and Russian services. Websites from Belarus or Russia are increasingly popular among Belarusian women. The exception is Google.com, although it too is overshadowed by the Russian Yandex.
