Poland: top stops for e-shoppers

The most popular online retail service in Poland is Allegro.pl (61 per cent reach among internet users), while Ceneo.pl is second (35 per cent) and Euro.com.pl is third (17 per cent). Check out the remaining places in the Polish Top 10 of e-commerce according to a study by Gemius.
Four out of five Poles are e-shoppers
The e-commerce market in Poland attracts over 22.6 million actual users, making up over 86 per cent of the country’s entire internet user base (source: Gemius/PBI). More than a half of people surf e-commerce sites from mobile devices (53 per cent), although the majority of internet users still uses personal computers (73 per cent) to connect to e-commerce sites.
The 10 most popular e-shops
The leader of the popularity rankings for e-commerce sites in Poland is Allegro.pl with a monthly total of 16 million actual visitors (61 per cent reach among internet users). Placing second is the price comparison site Ceneo.pl with 9.2 million users (35 per cent). The last place on the podium is occupied by the online electronics shop Euro.com.pl, belonging to the RTV Euro AGD chain, with 4.3 million (17 per cent). The next places in the rankings were taken by: Mediaexpert.pl ─ 4.2 million (16 per cent), Zalando.pl ─ 4.1 million (16 per cent), Empik.com ─ 4 million (15 per cent), Domodi.pl ─ 3.6 million (14 per cent), Aliexpress.com ─ 3.1 million (12 per cent), Allani.pl ─ 2.9 million (11 per cent), and Skapiec.pl ─ 2.9 million (11 per cent).
The mobile prefer toys and fashion
People viewing shopping sites on mobile devices are relatively more likely than PC users to visit fashion retailers. Domodi.pl is 4th in the Top 10 of sites visited from smartphones and tablets, while they come 7th in the PC rankings. Zalando.pl, at 5th place on the small screen, is 6th on the PC, while Allani.pl is 9th on mobile devices and 10th on the PC. The ranking of the top ten shopping websites visited from mobile e-shoppers also featured Smyk.pl, who sell toys and products for children. This site does not appear in the Top 10 of e-commerce sites visited from personal computers.
