Men dominate on television and radio station websites in Ukraine
On average, every fifth Ukrainian internet user visits television station websites. Almost four times fewer users visit radio station websites. For the websites analysed, men account for the majority of visitors. And how long do they spend on these websites? Read the results of the latest Gemius analysis.
Television station websites are visited by an average of 22 per cent of Ukrainian internet users per month. On the other hand, radio station websites reach an average of 5.5 per cent of internet users in Ukraine. An analysis of the last four months (January–April 2015) showed that both groups of websites were most popular in February.
Every second visitor has a higher education
Television station websites are popular among both genders. However, it turns out that men spend more time on them (an average of 29 minutes 28 seconds per month) than women (an average of 20 minutes 51 seconds per month). Almost half of the users of television station websites have a higher education (48 per cent on average).
Most visitors are men
In terms of radio station websites a similar trend can be observed – the majority of visitors are men (an average of 61 per cent during a given month). It’s also men who spend more time per month on the analysed websites (an average of 22 minutes 37 seconds) than women (average 15 minutes 29 seconds). Among the website users, the majority state that they have a higher education (an average of 64 per cent during a given month).
About the research
The data comes from gemiusAudience, an international research project conducted by Gemius in around 30 countries in Europe, Middle East and North Africa. It aims to determine the number and demographic profile of internet users and to learn about the ways in which they use the net: websites, audio and video material, or applications. The research is carried out in compliance with the international code of conduct ICC/ESOMAR.
