Since 2005, when Internet audience research started in Lithuania, gemiusExplorer, a special analytical software for analysing gemiusAudience research results (.gem files), has been used. As gemiusAudience research has evolved over time, with the emergence of new platforms, the increasing amount of data and the complexity of the research methodology, we decided to replace the existing tool with a new online tool that opens up additional opportunities for digital media market players.

The former Overnight methodology has been replaced by Constant Panel, whose main advantage is the ability to see how each website's audience grows over a custom period (reach building). You can also analyse the aggregated data and the total number of real users for any custom period of up to 92 calendar days, with overlaps between days and platforms. With E.gemius will also be possible to analyse demographic data, monitor reach and frequency of visits.

From the first day of measurement - July, 1, Lithuania was the first country in the Baltic States to use the E.gemius tool and the Constant Panel methodology. E.gemius is an online tool that will eliminate the need to download data to a computer and allow access the tool from any device, making data analysis more convenient. Other important changes include the counting of real users for mobile apps based on advertising ID (AdID) identifier, and an update of the PRES algorithm, which is responsible for calculating the correct population and reach for the whole study.

The switch from Overnight to Constant Panel took place on 1 July this year. From now on the official and public data are available on the new e.gemius.com website (https://e.gemius.com/login).
