Cars and mobile phones most wanted
Three of the ten most visited sites in Serbia feature classified ads, according to gemiusAudience study data.
The July results of gemiusAudience research give highlight the classifieds as the type of website enjoying most visits right after news portals. Sections containing ads of used cars and mobile phones draw the most attention of internet users. It also turns out that these users are least interested in medical equipment, books and magazines.
Internet users who browse classifieds spend most of their time looking for computers and hardware equipment and - as it was demonstrated - what they need least are trailers and construction machinery.
No surprises in terms of gender
Men, in addition to cars and automotive vehicles, are mostly focused on online courses, a variety of programs and computer games. Women, on the other hand, look for mobile phones, clothes and shoes.
It is interesting that users between 30 and 39 years old are the ones least interested in new cars. The thing that captivates the attention of this category are sports programs and sports equipment.
According to the survey, generations aged 40 and onwards, are the ones least attracted to sections devoted to books and pets.

The private sector offers better transport
Public sector employees visit classified ads sections concerning motorcycles and bicycles the most, those who work in the private sector look for cars, and self-employed ones – for computers. Among the unemployed, the least interest is in the jewellery, luxury goods and collectibles (stamps, tickets for games, concerts, old books and photos).
The data quoted originates from an international project (gemiusAudience) conducted by Gemius in more than 30 countries. It aims to research into the number and demographic profile of internet users and the manner in which they utilize the web. The study is performed according to Gemius proprietary hybrid methodology and in accordance with the ICC/ESOMAR international code of conduct.
