Event of the year
Successful launch of the gemiusAudience multiplatform measurement project, which for the first time provides accurate data for the market about real users who browse via mobile gadgets, and about their behaviour online.
Success of the year
News and other events became the most popular content type for Lithuanian online audience. Local horizontal portals delfi.lt, 15min.lt and lrytas.lt became TOP3 not only by the number of real users but also by page views.
Disappointment of the year
Based on the number of generated page views, it becomes evident that local social networks lost their dominance as the most engaging online activity.
Trend of the year
The rise of multimedia. Since the beginning of this year, we have observed that the number of people watching TV or listening to radio online, has increased by one-third and the time they spent almost doubled. In addition to that, we see that more publishers are focusing on their multimedia and especially video content strategy.
Prediction for 2015
More than 20% of all page views now are generated via mobile devices, and next year we expect this number to keep rising. We also predict that multimedia content will be capturing even more of Lithuanians‘ interest.
