Are Huawei devices popular in Europe?
How does the mobile internet market look in Europe? Thanks to a Gemius study, it is possible to have a clearer look at the Huawei brand.
As the measurement of website traffic in January 2015 and 2016 shows, Huawei devices are not among the most frequently used for browsing websites in European countries. However, it turns out that the percentage of domestic page views on these devices grew over the course of the year in 10 of the 18 analyzed countries.
Belarus – most views and the biggest decrease
Most of the views on Huawei devices in January 2016 took place in Belarus (8.6 per cent). Despite having the highest percentage of page views on these devices among the analyzed group of European countries, Belarus recorded a decrease in the number of views on Huawei equipment. In January 2015, it accounted for 12.7 per cent of views (source: gemiusPrism).
In Poland, an increasing number of views
Did Robert Lewandowski, lending his image to the brand in Poland, have an impact on the rise in popularity of Huawei equipment among internet users? Although it’s difficult to say whether this had any particular influence on them, there has undoubtedly been an increase in traffic on Huawei devices in Poland. In January 2015, the percentage of domestic page views on these devices was just 0.8 per cent. In January 2016, that number had risen to 3.5 per cent of all views.
The biggest increase in Slovakia
