In January 2023, the regional news portal liepajniekiem.lv showed the largest numerical increase in the audience among top websites reaching 57,000 more readers than in December 2022 - 276,000 Real Users, at the same time moving up two positions to 16th place in the top. Meanwhile, the audience of the legal act explanation portal lvportals.lv has grown by 53,000, reaching 305,000 Real Users and rising from 16th to 13th position in the top. The audience of the public media news portal lsm.lv increased by 46,000 users in January, with 659,000 Real Users, moving up one place to the 6th position in the top of the total statistics, while the audience of the nra.lv increased by 31,000 last month - with 574,000 Real Users the portal climbed to the 8th place in the top.
As in December 2022, the leading position in the total statistics top was retained by the inbox.lv with 917,000 Real Users from all devices together, which is 44,000 users more than in December. With 883,000 Real Users delfi.lv follows in the second position – the portal's audience has increased by 16,000 users compared to December, while jauns.lv completes the top three, reaching 757,000 readers last month - 2,000 less than in December. With the audience increase by 35,000 users, the fourth most visited website from all devices is tvnet.lv with 757,000 Real Users, while the fifth position is taken by the portal tv3.lv with 668,000 users - 3,000 less than in December.
In January 2023, portal 1188.lv showed the largest numeric decrease in the audience - by 33,000 users compared to December reaching 425,000 Real Users from all devices. The total audience of the news portal apollo.lv decreased by 30,000 readers in January, reaching 539,000 users, while the website bb.lv also showed a similar drop, with 289,000 users from all devices in January. It should be noted that in January the website press.lv joined the gemiusAudience study, with 242,000 Real Users from all devices, ranking 18th in the total statistics top, while the website bilesuparadize.lv left the top.
Audience from computers
In the statistics of audience from computers, the first position is taken by Google with 1,060,000 Real Users, which is 18,000 more than in December 2022, followed by the video streaming site youtube.com, which was visited by 39,000 more users in January - 758,000 Real Users from computers. As before, the third most visited website from computers in January was the social networking site Facebook, visited by 641,000 Real Users last month - 50,000 users more than in December. Having reached 6,000 more users than the previous month, the website inbox.lv ranks fourth with 596,000 Real Users, while swedbank.lv completes the top five with a significant increase in the audience - by 50,000 users, reaching 504,000 Real Users from computers in January.
Among the top websites, the largest increase in audience in January was shown by the advertisement website ss.com, which was visited by 61,000 more users from computers than before. The audience of the banks website seb.lv also increased by 42,000, reaching 308,000 Real Users and rising from 13th to 10th position in the top. Meanwhile, in January, the education platform e-klase.lv showed the greatest decrease numerically, and was visited by 33,000 fewer users - 260,000 Real Users from computers in January. It should be noted that in January, the website tet.lv in the top, ranking 17th with 234,000 Real Users, while the state administration services portal latvija.lv joined the top in 19th place with 226,000 users.
Audience from mobile devices
In statistics from mobile devices in January, as before, delfi.lv takes leading position with 823,000 Real Users, who visited the portal from mobile devices - smartphones and tablets, as well as using the site's mobile application. Portal jauns.lv is in second place with 720,000 Real Users, which is 8,000 less than in December, but the top three is closed by tvnet.lv, whose audience has grown by 32,000 users in January, reaching 709,000 Real Users from mobile devices. As the audience grew by 52,000 users, the website inbox.lv rose to the fourth position in January with 656,000 Real Users, exchanging places with the website tv3.lv, which was visited by 633,000 Real Users in January.
As in the top of the total statistics, the numerically largest increase in the audience among the websites of top was shown by the regional portal liepajniekiem.lv, which was visited by 53,000 more users - 229,000 Real Users. The audience of public media news portal lsm.lv increased by 52,000 users in January, reaching 567,000 Real Users and the audience of the legal act explanation portal lvportals.lv increased by 40,000 users, reaching 198,000 users. The audience of nra.lv portal increased by 31,000 users - it was visited by 528,000 Real Users in January, which allowed it to rise from 9th place. to the 8th position.
Meanwhile, the numerically largest drop in audience, as in top of the total statistics, was shown by the website 1188.lv, which reached 36,000 fewer users last month than in December (362,000 Real Users), as well as the portal apollo.lv, which was visited by 33,000 fewer users ( 505,000 Real Users), and the website bb.lv, as an audience, decreased by 28,000 users in January, reaching 280,000 users from mobile devices. It should be noted that two websites joined the top in January - portal press.lv in the 15th position with 225,000 users, and grani.lv in the 17th place with 174,000 Real Users.
Data on media groups
In January, la.lv/ TV24 group showed the largest numerical increase in audience within the group level, and rose to the fourth position among the groups - the group's total audience increased by 34,000, reaching 718,000 users who visited the websites la.lv, lrtv.lv, tv24.lv and grani.lv. Rīgas Viļņi media group ranks third among the groups with 758,000 or 50% of Latvian Internet users who have visited jauns.lv, including otkrito.lv or rus.jauns.lv, rigasvilni.lv, zurnali.lv, as also data on jauns.lv streaming, but the fifth among the groups is the TV3 media group, which covers data on tv3.lv, play.tv3.lv video and starfm.lv streaming, as well as the tv3play.lv application, and reached 698,000 last month Real Users, or 46% of Latvian internet users.
Meanwhile, DELFI group reached the most users among the groups in January with the websites delfi.lv, including, calis.lv, atverskapi.lv, mansdraugs.lv, tavsdarzs.lv, the website bilesuparadize.lv, Delfi TV, as well as the mobile application - 915,000 Real Users, or 60% of Latvian Internet users, which is 14,000 more than in December. However, TVNET group with 878,000 users, or 58% of Internet users, who visited the websites tvnet.lv (including receptes.lv), spoki.lv and apollo.lv, as well as statistics on tvnet.lv, apollo.lv and rus.tvnet.lv applications reached 3,000 more visitors than in December.
