Cookie
Textual information that each Internet user's web browser automatically receives from a web server when generating a Page View. This information is then automatically returned to the server during subsequent Page Views of that site. Because the web server can customize the content of the cookie, web sites use them to differentiate between individual visitors. Internet users can manage their cookies through their web browsers, or through other freely available computer programs that have been designed to do this.
