Gemius to consolidate on Austrian market

Gemius SA announces the opening of a branch office in Vienna, therefore satisfying the requirements of the Austrian market. The previously conducted study gemiusAudience will be continued, and additional services measuring the effectiveness of online advertising campaigns will enrich the company’s offer.

Gemius SA, the leading online research agency in Central and Eastern Europe, is currently developing its business activity in nineteen foreign European markets, realising the main research project gemiusAudience. In order to meeting the needs of the dynamically developing Austrian market, the company has opened another branch office – in Vienna. This strategic business unit will allow to provide a high level of services to  clients in order to come up to their expectations.

Leading the new operations in Vienna is Christoph Seda, who has been appointed to the post of Country Manager at Gemius Austria. Seda joined Gemius from WEKA (formerly Springer Business Media Austria), where he was responsible for the advancement and marketing of the online business. Previously, Seda had worked in Corporate Communications for ABB in Austria and Germany during his management studies, gaining wide experience in the Internet and new media.

Gemius’ plans for the development of its activity on the Austrian market is firstly to continue gemiusAudience measurement. gemiusAudience is a reach/frequency audience type of research and consists of creating and maintaining a panel of Internet users research together with a ‘site-centric’ type of study. All Austrian web pages can be encompassed by free of charge gemiusAudince research and are welcomed to participate in it. Additionally, the company will offer surveying the effectiveness of the online advertising campaign thanks to the gemiusDirectEffect research.

The most complete set of data of gemiusDirectEffect is provided thanks to the measuring of all ad formats, including rich media, video and search campaigns. By analysing  previous campaigns, it is possible to plan future ones more successfully and to evaluate the budget for online advertising.
