Internet CEE – the second international conference on the internet in Central and Eastern EuropeGemius, the largest online research agency in Central and Eastern Europe, is organising the second international conference dedicated to the internet business in the CEE region. Internet CEE will take place in Warsaw on 28-29 October 2008.  

The event will assemble opinion-leaders from the internet industry in the CEE region. Their knowledge of expansion into dynamically developing neighbouring markets and their business experience will be of the utmost value to the three hundred participants. Mike Hess from OMD, Sławomir Stępniewski from Isobar and Fedor Virin from Mail.ru will expand on the recipes for success in e-business. World class industry experts will also make up our stellar panels: Wim Vermeulen (Ogilvy), Saša Škorić (Oglasnik) and Mikhail Gourevitch (RBC).

The 300 delegates will come from Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria, the Adriatic region and Baltic countries. With representatives from international agencies, publishers and technology providers in the CEE region, there will be many opportunities to enhance existing knowledge and make new industry contacts. 

The agenda will deliver thought-provoking content, fully reflecting the challenges facing the digital marketing community in the new markets in Central and Eastern Europe. The programme is divided into four subject blocks: “Social networks”, “New ways of advertising on the internet”, “TV online” and “Success stories”.

 The conference will have interactive activities running alongside panel debates. Internet CEE is aimed at management boards, marketing and sales directors of companies conducting activity in Central and Eastern Europe or those planning expansion into the markets in that region. Conference participants will also comprise online publishers and representatives of agencies and media houses advising clients working in the CEE countries.

The initiator and main organiser of the conference is Gemius SA (www.gemius.com), the leading company in internet research studies in Central and Eastern Europe. The event’s chief patron is the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB). Mail.ru – the biggest Russian portal - is the main internet patron.
