Trigon invests in Gemius SA research agency

On 3 January 2008 Trigon (www.trigon.pl) closed a deal to buy a 100% stake in Gemius SA. Trigon, as a financial investor with the objective of developing the research part of Gemius SA and improving its profitability, guarantees financing and will reorganise the structure of the Group.
The research agency - Gemius SA - is a leader and precursor of Internet research in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its founding in 1999, the company has not only developed its research offer on European markets, but it has also been continuously increasing its technological potential.
Gemius’ strategic goals are connected with investments in Western Europe and broadening the company’s research offer. Parallel to the development of research activity, an emphasis will also be put on taking advantage of the company’s technological potential.
“The dynamic activity of the company allows us to achieve goals which were previously unattainable. Accepting challenges that the Internet poses with reference to research and new technologies is a natural stage of development. Having an established position on the market, we will aim at new solutions,” says Piotr Ejdys, President of Gemius SA. “The choice of investor was determined by previous successes of the Trigon company and common values.”
Trigon is an independent investment banking firm in Central and Eastern Europe, established in 2001. Trigon’s partners have successfully invested on their own account – having bought Central Properties – the producer of Mazowszanka mineral water, Royal Polska Ubezpieczenia na Życie and Dom Maklerski Penetrator S.A.
