Dear
gemiusTraffic users,
We
are happy to announce that some changes
have been introduced in the URL tab. They consist in implementing
aggregation of URL addresses differing in value of the Google-added
gclid parameter.
Since
29 April 2009
gclid parameters in URL addresses will be automatically replaced by
'removed'. This means that the following URL addresses:
a)
mywebsite.com/example?p=7&gclid=abcdef
=> 1 page view
b)
mywebsite.com/example?p=7&gclid=defghi
=> 1 page view
will
from now on be
presented as follows:
mywebsite.com/example?p=7&gclid=removed
=> 2 page views
Implementing
the aggregation of URL addresses stems from the fact that the
gclid parameter values do not contain information legible for an
analyst, and due to their uniqueness, unnecessarily increase
segmentation of the URL tree.
The
alteration
in question concerns only the URLs presented in the
URL
tab
in
the gemiusTraffic interface. Please note that presentation of the URLs
gathered so far will not be subject to these changes.

We
hope that the proposed solution will be useful for your work. If you
have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact us at
professional@gemius.com.
Best
regards,
The Gemius Team
